MEXICO is a large country with a greatly varied population, reflected in its many costumes and traditions. Nevertheless, dances from all areas share an infectious energy, demanding footwork, and recognizable melodies. BDT's repertoire includes suites from two regions of Mexico. The Veracruz suite features dancers in white performing La Bruja, Colas, and the well-known La Bamba. The Jalisco suite showcases colourful costumes for Las Alazanas, Son de la Negra, and the famed Jarabe Tapatio.

LATIN AMERICA has a rich dance tradition, and each country has developed its own unique styles derived from the mix of immigrant and indigenous traditions. BDT performs a range of dances celebrating the folk traditions of Puerto Rico, El Salvador, and Columbia. The company has staged Argentinean tangos and a Brazilian samba. In addition, popular dances such as the merengue and salsa rueda are part of the repertoire.
