Alien Characters

This page is dedicated to the major alien characters who live in the Babylon 5 universe. Warning, there are possible spoilers here so please read at your own risk. I'll try not to give away too much.

Here is a listing of the characters on this page:

Delenn ~ Kosh ~ G'Kar
Londo Mollari ~ Lennier ~ Vir Cotto
Ulkesh

Delenn

delenn, 2261 Minbari Ambassador Delenn is married to President John Sheridan. Delenn was a member of the Grey Council until she was removed because of her physical transformation. Here is a photo of Delenn before her change. She would always be accompanied by her assistant, Lennier. Delenn was played by actress Mira Furlan.

Kosh

kosh Kosh was ambassador for the Vorlon Empire. Only twice in the series did we see the mysterious Kosh outside of his encounter suit, in the second season episode The Fall Of Night as an "angel" and in the fourth season episode The Long Night in his true Vorlon form. Kosh was notorious for spouting "riddles" and cryptic messages that were seemingly insignificant but held a much deeper meaning. In the third season, Kosh was killed by Morden and the Shadows, but a piece of him still lived in Sheridan, and this would end up saving Sheridan's life on Z'ha'dum and later in 2261 in a battle with Ulkesh. Kosh was voiced by Ardwight Chamberlain.

G'Kar

g'kar, 2261 One-time Ambassador for the Narn Regime, Citizen G'Kar wanted nothing more than for his people to take revenge against their former enemies, the Centauri Republic. However, when the Narn Homeworld was bombed to near extinction in 2259 by the Centauri, G'Kar would fight for his people's freedom, which he would eventually get, at the expense of his left eye in 2261. Over the years G'Kar would change from a warrior to a philosophical writer, whose written work would make the Narn a proud people once again. G'Kar was played by actor Andreas Katsulas.

Londo Mollari

londo mollari, 2261 His hunger for power would eventually be the former Centauri Republic Ambassador's undoing. In late 2258, Londo made a deal with Morden and his "associates" that would not only end up in the near destruction of the entire Narn race, but would almost cause the destruction of his own homeworld, Centauri Prime. In 2262 Londo became the Centauri Emperor, but his actions thereafter would be controlled by the Drakh. Londo was played by actor Peter Jurasik.

Lennier

lennier Aide to Delenn, Lennier would do anything for her and would not allow her to be harmed. Feeling responsible for the death of Marcus Cole, Lennier would join the Rangers in 2262 but was never heard from again after the near-death of President Sheridan, in which Lennier betrayed the An'la Shok. Lennier was played by actor Bill Mumy.

Vir Cotto

vir cotto, 2261 Upon his arrival at Babylon 5 in 2258, the aide to Ambassador Mollari seemed like a bumbling fool, but he slowly changed and matured as Londo's actions became more and more sinister. Vir always wanted the best for his people but not in ways Londo was going about it. Over time he'd become a much needed friend to Mollari and to others on Babylon 5. Vir was played by actor Stephen Furst.

Ulkesh

ulkesh, 2261 Ulkesh became the replacement Vorlon on Babylon 5 after Kosh's death in 2260, but he was much more cold and heartless than his predecessor. In 2261, Ulkesh became furious when he found out from Lyta Alexander that there was still a piece of Kosh in Sheridan, but this was just a part of a plan to kill Ulkesh, who was becoming a threat to the station during the Shadow War. Ulkesh and the remaining essence of Kosh in Sheridan would fight to the death, both dying in a tremendous explosion outside the station. Ulkesh was voiced by Ardwight Chamberlain.
