Let us suppose:
- The human population continues to increase according to current extrapolations.
- The present, largely ignored extinction event accelerates as human numbers increase.
- Humans continue to burn fossil fuels at a prodigous rate, and the planet warms
up according to projections.
These are fairly plausible projections of current trends.
